After election to Assembly, the members become entitled to certain amenities. These amenities are provided to members with a view to enable them to function effectively as members of Assembly.
Broadly speaking, the amenities provided to the members relate to salaries and allowances. These are governed by the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly (Officers' and Members' Emoluments and Pension) Act, 1956 and the rules made there under.
Salary :
Every member is entitled to a salary of Rs. 10,000 per month during the term of his/her membership.
Constituency Allowance :
Every member is entitled to a constituency allowance of Rs. 30,000 per month during the term of his/her membership.
House Rent Allowance :
Those members who have not been allotted government accommodation and are living in their own or rental accommodation are entitled, on submission of a certificate to this effect, to House Rent Allowance of Rs. 4000 per month.
Daily Allowance :
Every member during the term of his/her office is entitled to receive a daily allowance at the rate of Rs. 700 within the State and Rs. 800 outside the State per day whenever a session of the Assembly or a sitting of a Committee thereof takes place.
As regards meetings of the committee, every member is entitled to draw daily allowance for a maximum period of 15 days in a calendar month provided that such limit of period is not fixed for sittings of the House.
A member is also entitled to receive daily allowance for a period not exceeding two days immediately preceding the commencement of the session and not exceeding one day immediately succeeding the end of the session as well as for one day immediately preceding the commencement of the meeting and one day immediately succeeding the adjournment of the meeting.
A member visiting a place for the purpose of attending, under the orders of the Speaker, to any other business connected with his/her duties as a member shall also be entitled to daily allowance.
Mileage Allowance :
(A) If a member travels by any train, any class including reservation charges paid to railway, if any.
(B) If a member uses his own vehicle, he is entitled to Rs. 7.00 for each kilometer of his travel.
(C) Incidental charges at the rate of 3 paisa per kilometer are also admissible.
Traveling Facilities :
(A) By Rail(1) Every Member shall be entitled to receive reimbursement of actual fare of any journey undertaken by him, either alone or with persons accompanying him, within the territory of India in any class of railway, air, ship or steamer, subject to a maximum limit of rupees one lakh in a financial year, in such manner and subject to such conditions as many be prescribed by rules made in this behalf.
(2) Where the total amount of reimbursement received in a financial year under sub-section (1) is less than Rupees one lakh, the amount by which the amount of reimbursement is less than one lakh shall be carried forward in next financial year or years and the members shall be entitled to utilized such amount at any time before expiry of his term as member.
(B) By RoadEach Member is provided with one non-transferable pass which entitle him and any other person accompanying the member to travel free of charge by all types of service buses of the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation including deluxe and air-conditioned bus services.
Medical Facilities :
Members and
their family members are entitled to medical treatment as admissible to
officers of the State
Government.
Residential Facilities :
Residential facilities are available to members at the following places in Jaipur City on standard rent :-

Furniture Facility :
Members residing at Jaipur in Government accommodation or accommodation owned or hired by them are entitled to the supply of furniture worth upto Rs. 50,000 (Rupees fifty thousand only) free of charge from the Public Works Department.
Telephone Facility :
Common telephones have been provided in the Reception Rooms at the residential blocks of members at Jaipur from where they can make local calls for which no limit is kept.
Computer Facility :A sum of Rs. 50,000/- has been sanctioned to every member to purchase a computer set and that set is returnable after expiry of their membership.
Other Facilities :
(A) Transit facility to bring wife/husband (as the case may be) from the place of ordinary residence to Jaipur and back at the time of each session at Government cost by the same class by which the member is entitled to travel.
(B) Facilities are available to members for stay in Rajasthan House, New Delhi, Circuit Houses and Dak Bungalows as under :-
(I) Rajasthan House : Members have been provided with the facility of stay at Rajasthan House, New Delhi, run by the State Government, for a continuous period of 8 days at a time, 16 days in a particular month and for a maximum period of 80 days in a year. (II) CIRCUIT HOUSES : Members have been accorded the same facilities for stay in Circuit Houses run by the State Government situated in Rajasthan, except at Jaipur, as are available to class I officers of the State Government. This facility is, however, available to a member at the most for 7 days in a particular Circuit House in a particular month. (III) DAK BUNGALOWS : Members can stay in the Government Dak Bungalows in Rajasthan on the same terms and conditions as are applicable to Class I Officers of the State Government.(C) Every member is provided with the services of a personnel of pay scale No. 1 to 9 by the District Collector of his/her district to attend to his official work.
(D) Every member is provided vehicle from the District Pool for a maximum period of ten days in a month to visit his/her constituency.(E) Every member can recommend to the District Rural Development Agency works of public utility in his/her constituency upto Rs. 100 Lac in a year which are executed according to the established procedure of this Agency.
Secretarial Assistance :Every member shall be provided with an employee, drawing pay in a grade pay not exceeding the grade pay no. 9 as specified in the Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008, by the Revenue Department of the State Government as secretarial assistance or, at the option of the member, a lump sum amount of 20,000 rupees per mensum shall be paid to the member in lieu of the secretarial assistance.
